About Robariah ArtsLaunched in 2005, Robariah Arts produces prints, greeting cards and calendars featuring the photographic work of Robert M. Friedman. His work in agriculture and travels from around the world provide the setting in which a majority of the images are captured. From a goat dairy at a kibbutz in Israel's Negev Desert, to aging shamans in the Amazonian Rainforest of PerĂº, Friedman has richly documented the local livelihoods of sustainable farmers with an intimacy that pulls the audience into the scene itself. A native Texan, Friedman now resides in New England, where he continues to capture local images of landscape and agriculture. He and his wife Shemariah, a Regional Planner specializing in agricultural policy, work with the Jewish Farm School to develop educational, multicultural programs on farming and gardening.
